Paint an Enchanted Forest

Paint an Enchanted Forest

By Don Seegmiller

Painter Master Don Seegmiller demonstrates his techniques for painting an enchanted forest scene, in this one-hour webinar. To begin, he shows you how to create a custom palette with your brushes, gradients, layer commands and image hoses that will be used in the painting, so these tools are easy to find and your workspace is not cluttered. To create the painting, Don starts with a gradient background, using the new express gradient paint tool. Then starting from the back and working forward, he uses the pen tool to build some hills. Next he uses an image hose to add some trees, leaves and other elements to the scene. Once this is complete, he uses various tools and brushes to add shadows, rays of light and other finishing touches. You’ll get lots of tips along the way for working with layers and selections, as well as painting techniques.
