Want to learn a little bit about these great new cameras that we now officially support?

Then keep on reading to find out more!

CANON EOS M5

First up, we’ve got the Canon EOS M5. If you’re looking for extreme versatility for a reasonable price, then this camera may just be the perfect match for you.

Featuring a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor and DIGIC 7 image processor, the EOS M5 is designed for multimedia use with its quick and accurate phase-detection autofocus abilities, image stabilization with Digital IS 5-axis control, and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for quick pairing and sharing.

Along with the inclusion of both a 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder and a sizable 3.2″ 1.62m-dot LCD tilting touchscreen, the EOS M5 is ideal for photographers who need one camera to serve many different kinds of situations. Learn more about it here, and if you already own it, download the profile in-app, relaunch, and get started!

NIKON D5600

Nikon’s D5600 DSLR is an affordable option that also fulfills all your needs. Centred around a 24.2MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor, the D5600 is designed to capture the greatest sharpness and detail for your photos.

This compact and slender camera nevertheless features a vari-angle design to better accommodate working from all angles—high, low, side-to-side. It also records full 1080p HD video, and lets you create time-lapse movies in-camera with its large 3.2″ 1.037m-dot rear LCD touchscreen.

Perfect for ambitious beginners, you can find out more about the D5600 here, and you’ll find its profile now in the Get More tab of ASP3.

FUJIFILM X70

If you like the vintage camera look but require digital tools, the Fujifilm X70 is both capable and affordable.

The sleek, simple aesthetic is matched by a user interface that features Fujifilm’s very first touchscreen (which also tilts and can function as a tripod-esque kickstand). Similar to the company’s X100-series, the X70 is smaller and therefore easily pocketable. Easily bring it while you’re travelling, or shooting on the street.

The X70 is the camera for you if you want great APC-S quality images but don’t want to worry about external lenses (the X70’s is fixed at 18.5mm f/2.8), and if you want to shoot and share from anywhere. Learn more here and find the X70 profile in-app now.

OLYMPUS E-M1 MARK II

If you’re in the market for a slightly higher-end camera, the Olympus E-M1 Mark II is a powerful workhorse that can handle all your needs.

The Verge reviewed the E-M1 Mark II and complimented its speed, suggesting that “with it, you feel like you can manipulate time.” They highlight that Olympus’ second version of their flagship Micro Four Thirds camera has 40 more autofocus points than its predecessor, a better battery and image processor, and even shoots 4K video.

But the camera is known for its speed, shooting 60 frames per second effortlessly with absolutely no drop in resolution quality. Along with some great high-speed modes such as Pro Capture, you can customize your approach so that you never miss a shot.

Again, learn more about the E-M1 Mark II here, and find its profile and all the others in your AfterShot Pro 3 Get More tab. Enjoy!

PANASONIC GX80 / GX85

The GX85 (or GX80 as it’s known in the US) is a slimmed down version of Panasonic’s more advanced GX8 and the spiritual successor to the much-loved GX7 (maintaining the smaller body size not found in the GX8). Featuring a 16MP Four Thirds sensor, 5-axis image stabilization, and 4K video at 30fps, there isn’t more you could ask for in a sleek compact system camera.

Check out an in-depth review over at Trusted Reviews, or head over to the in-app Get More tab to download the GX8 profile now!

PANASONIC G85 / G80

With the G85 (aka the G80 or G8 depending on what market you’re in), Panasonic has released a camera that includes many features found in the GX line, including 4K video capture and 5-axis image stabilization, as well as the same 16MP Four Thirds sensor and redesigned shutter mechanism — all in an SLR-style body.

I also posted this request on Facebook, but because it is so important to me, and probably a lot of other professional users, I will add it here too: Please add more IPTC/XMP fields. My new client demands the following fields, that by the way are default fields used by many databases and publishers / news agencies: identifier, person shown, coverage, publisher. Please don’t underestimate this, because it could easily mean getting no assignments!!!
