      Hi Brenda;
      I I use the photo editor Paintshop Pro and the plugin software Nik Color Efex Pro for my editing. I start by removing the sky and adding a free sky image I download from Bing images. I start by using PSP under the adjustment toolbar heading and click on local tone mapping which is a contrast adjustment which makes the dark colors darker and the light colors lighter. Then under adjustments I use Hue and Saturation and Vibrancy adjustments to brighten the colors. If there is water in the photo, I section off the water because the Vibrancy adjustment turns the blue to more of a green. I then go to Nik plugins and under Low Key I darken the photo a little while adding a little color brightness. Then in Nik I use a little Glamour Glow which softens the photo. If I hadn’t done the tone mapping earlier this adjustment makes it blurry rather then soften. Usually the last thing I do is use the PSP adjustment under adjust I use brightness and contrast. This adds some contrast plus I can adjust the brightness or darkness to the photo. I hope this helps.
