Don’t Use Aperture to Make Up for Poor Lighting

A good DSLR gives you a lot of options for dealing with different lighting conditions. You can open up your aperture or you can increase your shutter speed. But this isn’t an excuse to get complacent! There is no substitute for a well-lit photo. Spend a few minutes thinking about changing angles, bringing in another light source, or turning on your flash, before you resort to compensating for inadequate light.
