Night Photography: Think about Mood


Mood is important in all photographs, but it’s even more important to think about at night. The dim lighting creates all kinds of atmospheric possibilities – and it also guarantees that your image will have some sort of notable ‘feel’. So make sure you’re thinking about it. The calm, meditative graveyard above, for example, could easily be spooky or foreboding. All it would take is a slight change in angle, aperture, or framing.
