      Hi Theo,

You can run PaintShop Pro on a Mac using a system like Parallels, however there is currently no way to run VideoStudio on Mac.

help i’m trying to make a lop syncing video for YouTube but the audio and my mouth in the video will not sync. what can i do

      Hello Austin,

While getting the initial recording synced as close as possible helps a lot, you can also try adjusting your video playback speed!

Since this is a recording, another option could be to sing along to the music in your recording to help with maintaining timing, then cut the audio and overlay the music again in post.

      Hope this helps!

Help!! I have made my first Corel video and when I clicked on Overlay it was as if a black filter came and covers everything I have created. All thr videos and Pictures I have in the Video section is there but not vixible. How do I remove the overlay???!!!

    January 27, 2019 at 4:13 pm
    • Adam Reply

      Hello Anna,

The easiest way to delete an overlay is by left-clicking on it in the Overlay track to select it, and then pressing the delete key on your keyboard. That’s it! You can also resize or reposition the overlay in the top left window if you still want the overlay but it is taking up too much space, or use the Mask & Chroma Key tools in the top right to adjust its transparency and similar settings if that is more of the effect you are looking for.

      Hope this helps!

I filmed a basketball game and want to render it to send it to Huddle. I uploaded the film to my PC. Now I can’t seem to figure out how to get it to the Video Studio. Last year I used Video Studio 3 and was very accustomed to working with that version. Unfortunately I now have a new computer so just downloaded Video Studio 2018 which I thought would be easier to use…So far that’s not been the case for me. How do I get the video clips of a game from a file on my computer to Video Studio 2018?

      Hello Alex,

You can import video files into VideoStudio in a number of ways! One common option is to have the folder containing your videos open in another window, and dragging them straight into the VideoStudio timeline. Two other common methods are by using the File > Import option, or by opening the Edit tab and by selecting Browse button in the Library pane (that’s the top left portion of the workspace in the default layout). In both cases, a Windows Explorer window will pop up. Just navigate to the file or files you want to import, select them, and hit OK. Then it’s just a matter of dragging them from the library to the timeline!

Can you please tell me how can I adjust color contrast on this software?

    December 6, 2018 at 10:24 pm
    • Adam Reply

      Hello Elsa,

You can adjust the contrast of a clip by double-clicking the video clip, then opening the Corrections tab in the top right, and opening up the Color Correction dropdown. This contains adjustment options for white balance, as well as adjusting hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, and gamma.

      Hope this helps!

In order to upgrade: 1. do I have to uninstall the old version – before or after downloading the new version?
    2. What will happen to all the tamplets that I already bought from you? How will they move to the new 2018 version? this is not clear for me. Corel tried to answer – but I do not quite understand

      Hello Tiki,

      1. You can uninstall the previous version if you want, but it is not required.
      2. There are two ways to add your existing templates to the new version of VideoStudio. The first option is to add your previous VideoStudio edition’s Templates folder to VideoStudio 2018 from the File menu inside VSP 2018. The second option is to cut or copy the contents of the previous edition’s Templates folder to VSP 2018’s templates folder. Whichever option you decide to use, the end result is VideoStudio 2018 getting access to all of those templates.

      Hope this helps!

Is there a convenient way to make short clips. Hollywood movie clips are only a few seconds. How to do this with Corel? Can you respond by email?

      Hello Elliott,

If you were looking to cut clips out of a larger video file, the crop tool is what you need! This tool lets you separate a video file into smaller parts, which you can then individually edit, reorganize, or delete as you need to.

Multi Cam Editor simply does not work for me. I need to be able to work with different camera angles in a video shoot. Multi Cam Editor will not play the previews to allow switching views as it is supposed to do. I have been through three levels of Corel support. The last correspondence I had was simply to tell me this is a known issue and I will get an update as it is addressed. This was about two months ago. Tech support will not reply to my emails asking for updates to my problem. They seem to have figured they can’t solve it so there is no use in replying to me. Recently I got an update notice for the software. I was hoping this would resolve the “known issue.” It did not.

      Hello Michael,

Our apologies for the delay! This is a known issue and will be resolved with the SP3 update, which will be available free to all VideoStudio 2018 users. We have contacted the support staff who handled your case, to make sure that you and any other customers affected by this issue are made aware of the pending update. It’s never fun being left in limbo, and we apologize for the frustration.

When I tried to share video on youtube it took more than a day to render and when it got to 99% it told me to choose another file and start again because my one drive was not big enough.
First of all, I thought the whole point of uploading directly to youtube was to bypass any space issues for my own computer (this was why I chose to do it this way as opposed to simply converting to MPEG-4) but putting that to one side I was wondering if there is any way I can get round this, outside of buying a separate hard drive or paying for more one drive space. For example, is there a smaller file type I can convert it to that will upload to youtube?

    May 6, 2018 at 4:10 pm
    • Adam Reply

      Hello Matthew,

Currently, YouTube requires a complete, rendered video file in order to upload, and does not currently have any method for allowing an active render to be streamed to their service. The Upload to YouTube feature is designed to streamline the overall process, by letting you avoid having to open a browser, navigate to YouTube, log in, locate your file, and upload.

As for compressing your video, MPEG is typically the format of choice for keeping those file sizes down. We also have some suggestions on how to reduce the size of your videos on the VideoStudio website!

      Hope this helps,
