I followed this, saved and converted to mp4. But when I reviewed the result, it’s greyed out. Then that note saying “Video effect proDAD Mercalli: The video analysis must be executed again” on the screen. This even after I changed the setting in the mercalli to final result. I spoke with a rep and told me to this but now my 2018 ultimate crashes when converting the file to mp4.

    “Go to the “Settings” menu.
    Click on “Preferences”.
    Click on “Performance”.
    Click the “Enable Smart Proxy”.

Enable both the “Hardware Decoder acceleration” in the “Editing Process” and the “Hardware Encoder acceleration” in the “File Creation”.

    Then re-launch your VideoStudio.

Then open your project file. Then click on the Video timeline and select all the clips by clicking Cntrl+A.

Then right click on it and select “Create smart proxy file”. Wait for few seconds and play again.”

You must set the project settings the same as the settings for the rendered file and then apply the filter

Hello Adam, No, Mercalli does not show up in my Video Studio Ultimate 2018. I aslo do not see it in my purchase history (order page). My previous versions of this software definitly had it (at the end of the FX list). It was one of my most used options and I greatly miss it. Please advise. Thanks, Seaborn jones

      Hello Seaborn,

Sorry for the confusion! Mercalli would not show up as a separate line item – it is bundled into the Ultimate Content Pack. Does your order page show that content pack, and do you have it installed?

Apparently I did not purchase the “Ultimate Content Pack” as it (or anything like it) is not listed in my purchase history. Is there any other option for obtaining the Content pack?

Does Video Studio (64bit Ultimate) have video stabilization abilities? Thanks, S. Jones

      Hello S. Jones,

It does! VideoStudio 2018 Ultimate includes ProDAD Mercalli SE, as shown in this video. If it isn’t showing up in your FX library, you may need to install the Ultimate Content Pack. It is a separate installation from VideoStudio itself, and can be found either as a separate download link on your order page, or if you bought a boxed copy of VideoStudio, on the second disc in the package.

      Hope this helps,
      Discovery Center Team
