Angel Wing Begonia

One of my favorite houseplants – Begonia aconitifolia or Cane Begonia – common name Angel Wing. They are native to Brazil and the rainforests of South America. It was sitting on my front porch rail so I took a photo and decided to draw it. It was originally in a terracotta pot so I asked AI to put in in something oriental, my favorite. Then I asked AI to remove the plant from the rail and turn it into a drawing so that is where the plant is sitting. I drew the plant first and then the pot. This took many hours. My best friends in this endeavor were Smart Fill and Mesh fill and lots of bitmap effects. I discovered the joys of using the Polyline tool while drawing the pot.
