Being a DC resident, I can greatly appreciate the quiet snowy cold depicted here. It makes me wish for snow so that I can take my children sledding. Thank you for sharing your vision.
The focus of your painting is very tranquil and calming. It takes us back to a more simpler time and way of life. Even the dark clouds cannot overshadow the peaceful assembly of worshipers. It depicts the good, the positive things in life.
This is a very quaint, rustic depiction of rural times that feels realistic and authentic to one who has lived through such an era. It conjures up warm feelings in one’s mind.
Lovely winter scene . . . I particularly appreciate the composition and how the delicate fence in the foreground leads the eye to the church set stark and white against the darker background of the hills in the distance . . . like ones eyes are processing into the church in taking in the canvass. Many thanks!
