September Sunflower
On a soft September afternoon, when the autumnal light has begun to temper the harsh contrasting sun and heavy heat of summer, a golden sunflower, catching the mood of the gentle day, flutters her petals in the breezes. The tasty treat and favorite of wild birds, her abundant seeds will give breakfasts and dinners to birdies at feeders everywhere, and many smiles to those of us humans who enjoy the birdies’ antics.
Digitally hand painted from one of my own photographs with Dmitry Marin’s fabulous thick paint brushes in Corel Painter and Photoshop.
