Color Temperature

Color temperature refers to the color of light.  Different light sources have varying color temperatures.  Daylight is in the blue end of the spectrum but artificial light sources can range across the entire light spectrum from infrared to orange to blue to ultraviolet. This temperature is measure in degrees Kelvin (K).  Warmer colors like red and orange are around 1000K-4000K.  Blue ranges from around 5000K to 10000K.
