Creative Use of Neutral Density Filters
Lens filters that reduce the amount of light entering a camera but don’t effect color are called Neutral Density Filters. These can allow you to use slow shutter speeds in bright conditions. Try using a very dark ND filter or combination of ND filters to capture blurred motion effects in broad daylight. Use a tripod to keep the camera steady. These come in varying densities and can usually be layered or adjusted to further darken the filter effect.
