Set the Diopter on Your Viewfinder
The Diopter is the small wheel next to your viewfinder which focuses the viewfinder for your eye. This does not effect the image but allows you to better gauge focus. To adjust:
- Use a long lens
- Look through the viewfinder and focus on something around 20 feet away (autofocus probably best)
- Adjust the diopter wheel until the image in the viewfinder appears sharpest to your eye
