Light is one of the most important elements in photography, but it isn’t something we think about all the time. Train yourself to evaluate different lighting situations. If you were to take a portrait of someone right now, where would you have them stand? Would you need to use your flash or turn on a lamp? If you get into the habit of asking these questions no matter where you are, then when the time comes to snap a photo, you’ll be ready!
