White Balance

White balance refers to the means by which a camera is calibrated to accurately capture color in different lighting conditions. The camera can be custom white balanced to the exact color of light by using a white piece of paper or by selecting any of the preset white balance settings.  See your camera manual to learn how to do this for your camera. Shooting with a white balance setting that doesn’t match the color of light you’re shooting in will give you off looking result.
