Discover the favorite Acrylics and Oils brushes of Painter Master Elite Cher Pendarvis and see how she painted various stages of the Cloudscape work of art.
In the first part of the tutorial Cher shows you how to navigate through the brush selector library to find the brushes you want to use, and demonstrates the variation in strokes for a variety of brushes in the Acrylics and Oils category and how they can be used for blending, laying down flat color or sketching and modelling.
In the second part of the tutorial, Cher demonstrates how she created the Cloudscape Study painting. The first stage involves planning the composition and using the Wet Soft Acrylic brush to lay in strokes and color notes for the sky and land. Next, Cher use the Opaque Acrylic brush to lay in some flat areas of color, and the Real Oils Filbert brush to blend colors, feather the clouds and develop the landscape. The final stage is a subtle blending in the clouds and landscape to give a sense of motion and energy to the piece.
