What is the “After” Photography Contest?
If you’re at all familiar with photography contests, you know they’re usually guided by a strict theme… but not with this one.
This time around, the good folks over at dPS have opened things up a little by asking you to submit your photos that fit the theme AFTER.
And just what do we mean by AFTER? That’s the beauty of it—it’s totally up to you!
Whether it’s After-Dark, After-Thought, After-Noon, After-Work, After-School, After-Life, or After-whatever-you-want… the choice is yours. Just pick your favorite AFTER theme and have fun with it.
How You Can Win
So, you’ve got a theme picked out, maybe you even have a few photos in mind that you’d like to submit, but… what do you need to do to win? Don’t worry – we’ve got the details covered for you below.
To win 1 of 10 copies of AfterShot Pro 3 in the Digital Photography School After Photography Contest, you’ll need to complete the following:
- Visit the AfterShot Pro 3 contest information page over on Digital Photography School.
- Download the free 30-day trial of AfterShot Pro 3 and use it to edit your After photo
- Submit your After photo to Digital Photography School, along with a few words to tell us how you feel AfterShot Pro 3 would help your photography… and, of course, don’t forget to explain your After
And that’s it… it’s really that easy!
Other Things You Should Know
Deadlines
You’ll have until July 19, 2016, at 11:59pm PDT to submit your photo and comments. Any photos or comments received after the deadline will not be considered for entry.
Once the submission window has closed, our team together with Digital Photography School, will review all of the entries and choose the ten best photos and comments on August 5, 2016.
Once we’ve picked our top ten, we’ll share our favorites with the folks at dPS and they’ll make the official announcement in the following days.
What We Mean When We Say ‘Best’ Photos
We understand photography can be subjective and what’s the best to me, might not be the best to you… so we’re laying down some of our judging criteria up front.
To be counted among the Top 10 in the After Photography Contest, we’re looking for people who have an understanding of photography post-processing and how AfterShot Pro 3 may best suit your needs.
This means you’ll want to check out the AfterShot Pro 3 website to learn about how ASP3 will help enhance your photo workflow. Play around with the trial. It’s free for 30 days, so find your favorite feature and tell us about it.
We don’t need an essay to crown you the champ, but we do want to hear what you like about AfterShot Pro 3 and how it would help your development as a photographer.
Entries are limited to one submission per person.
