Blur the Background, Not Your Subject

blurr-300x188

Want to capture a sense of speed and motion, while also keeping your subject in focus? Set your camera to a relatively long exposure, say 1/125 second or below. Then as your shooting, track your subject, keeping it in the same location in your frame. It’ll probably take some practice, but if you get the timing right, your subject will be sharp and the background behind it nothing but a blur!
