If you’re running a photo shoot, part of your job is making sure that everyone is having a good time – that’s the only way you’re going to get people smiling, feeling natural, and looking great. So figure out what works for you, and use it! Some photographers use cheesy jokes – “Now everyone get in focus for me”. Some photographers go over the top “YES YES you’re a tiger! Work it!” Some try to have a little conversation before and during the shoot, to get people talking about their passions and put them at ease. One way or another, your energy is going to be reflected in your subjects – so make sure you stay positive, happy, and energetic, and you’ll get it all back in the photos.
