Questions – When I bought Painter 2018 the Mystic Mountain Brush pack came with it. Now I see it listened on my product list but with no link to get it. If it is truly not available what is a suggestion as a substitute? I see the Wedding Brush pack listed as a needed tool. Is that a good substitute?
Suggestion: I may be missing something but on the pages for the offered brush packs I don’t see listings of the brushes for each pack. This would be useful for customers to make choices. At least write out the names of the brushes in each pack.
Hello Cdoug,
Unfortunately we are no longer licensed to use the Bob Ross name or associated brush packs, which includes the Mystic Mountain brush pack. The Wedding brush pack is a potential replacement, or you may want to consider the Mixed Media or Fresh Rain packs.
Hope this helps!

I really, really looked and found the executable for the Mystic Mountain brush pack saved on my computer when I bought the Corel Painter 2018. I then was then able to transfer those files to my 2020 upgrade. Problem solved. The Discovery Center tutorial has the color palette available. One of the small problems is that when you load the MM brush pack you don’t know where to look for it. It is at the bottom of the 2018 brush library variant list.
How did you transfer them to your 2020 upgrade? I have both Painter Essentials 6 and Painter 19. I have them in the 6 version but i can’t find them in my 2019 version
HOW, HOW, HOW do I get these Bob Ros brushes for Painter Essentials 6? Essentials was affordable and inspiring when I saw this could be done. I’m a huge Bob Ross fan. Actually Going all the way back to Bill Alexander before that. Am I going to have to fork out for the full version? Kind tough on a fixed income. Just tell me if I’m barking up the wrong tree. Thanks.
Hello Stephen,
Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately the agreement between the Corel and the Bob Ross estate has lapsed, meaning we can no longer offer those brush packs at this time. We don’t have any immediate plans to bring them back just yet, but if we do, our Discovery Center newsletter would be the fastest way to find out.
Hope this helps,
Discovery Center Team
