Budgeting Tip: Know Yourself
Probably the easiest way to keep your photography gear budget under control is to have a realistic assessment of where you are as a photography. Are your portraits poorly lit because you need more lights, or have you not yet mastered locating your light sources? Are you missing shots because your camera isn’t fast enough, or because you have it on maximum quality settings even in rapid-fire situations? Sooner or later, you will reach a point where your gear is holding you back. But think carefully about what else you can do with what you have before opening your wallet for something new.
