By Helen Yancy
In this tutorial, Painter Master Helen Yancy shows you how to get started using Painter to create photo art. She reviews the Welcome (startup) screen where you can access tutorials, webinars, brush packs and other products, plus a gallery of artwork to get you inspired. On the Get Started tab you can choose from a variety of different layouts, including the photo art layout. This layout will load the Photo Art workspace, which includes some important tools like Clone Source and Underpainting tools. The Colors and Layers palette is also essential. You will also learn where to find your brush library and how to navigate through different categories and brush variants.
