This tutorial demonstrates 2 different techniques for painting portraits with the Sargent brushes. The first technique is more abstract and focuses on shapes and color values using the Sargent brush. The second technique is more refined, using the Blocky Background brush and working in black and white. You will learn about the different intents of portraiture and directions you can take in painting complex subjects.
