By Skip Allen
Painter Master Elite Skip Allen, the master of watercolor, shows you how to get Thick Paint to run on canvas. After adding thick paint to the canvas, duplicate the thick paint layer and then drop it to the canvas layer. Next, go to Layers > Lift canvas to watercolor layer then drag the watercolor layer under the thick paint layer on your Layers palette. Now switch to the Watercolor > Wetting Agent brush and adjust brush and wet panel settings. Now when you begin painting you can see that the paint will flow and have a runny, drippy look. To complete the look, Skip adds a layer mask onto the thick paint layer and then uses an airbrush to make some final adjustments.
