What is a TIF file?

TIF stands for “Tagged Image Format” which is an image format for containing rich graphics content. It was developed by Aldus corporation but later Adobe acquired it from them and made some major improvements. Primarily intended for scanned images, this image format now has so many applications. TIF format allows both compressed and lossless image data. Mostly used for raster data, this format is also friendly for vector graphics. How to open TIF file format

1. Create New Document
Launch CorelDRAW and select New Document. Select desired canvas size and colors

2. Select your TIF file
File> Import. The file browser will appear. Select the TIF File you want to import and click Import

3. Position image on canvas
Using the cursor select where you want the image to be placed and click and drag to position the image on the canvas

4. Edit your TIF file
Make your edits to the image

5. Save your document
Save the file before closing to the your desired location on your computer
