Adding Color to Illustrations

In part three of our five-part Illustrators series, Painter Master Elite Don Seegmiller brings out the colors! Starting with an underlayer and the Captured Bristle 2 brush to lay down some base colors, listen to tips on why Don sets out layers the way he does, making sure you can see your sketch but not let it interfere with your paint, and finish up with an overlayer where we really get into the painting. But most importantly, this is concept art – Don also teaches us when to stop!
