Masking
You can isolate an area of an image by creating a mask.
Click the Magic Wand tool, and then click inside the area you want to mask.
Hold down Shift, and click again to add to your mask.
Click the Fill tool, and then click inside the masked area.
The masked area will be filled with the default fill color, which is black.
Press Ctrl+R to remove the mask.
