Removing the Fisheye Effect

By Discovery Center Team

Sometimes the video footage you capture with a GoPro or action camera has a curve to the horizon, otherwise known as the fisheye effect. In this tutorial we’ll show you how you can straighten this out using the Lens Correction filter. You can also do this in reverse, if you have a flat video clip and want to add a curve to it.

Thanks for watching! We hope you found this tutorial helpful and we would love to hear your feedback in the Comments section below. And don’t forget to visit our social media pages and show us what you’ve learned by sharing your photos, videos and creative projects with us.

      Hello Gary,

Are you using VideoStudio Pro X9, or VideoStudio Ultimate X9? The filter used to remove the Fisheye effect in this tutorial was the NewBlue Lens Correction filter, which is part of the NewBlue FX packs included in VideoStudio Ultimate X9.

      Hope this helps!
