With the Lens Correction tools introduced in VideoStudio 2018, you can quickly remove wide-angle camera distortion—better known as a fisheye effect. Sometimes this is your preferred outtake from a lively GoPro session, but other times it’s nice to have a quick way to remove the distortion. VideoStudio adds new and intuitive controls to make this easy, freeing you up to focus on the fun parts of video editing.

To correct wide-angle lens distortion:

  1. In the Timeline, double-click a clip with lens distortion, and in the Options panel, click Correction, and open the Lens Correction section.
  2. In the Select preset drop-down menu at the top, choose a preset. The preview of the correction applies to the entire clip. Advanced users can manually adjust the settings to correct distortion. Note: To reset the clip to the original settings, choose Default from the Select preset drop-down menu.
