How to Create a Cloning Effect
Learn how to apply a simple cloning technique with tips from video editing expert Gripps. For this tutorial he uses cloning to create a short clip of himself interacting with – himself! There are lots of impressive projects you could do once you master this technique. First you will learn how to create a continuous shot and trim it to create 2 clips that can be joined together. Next you will use the Boris Graffiti special effects filter to create a mask to hide part of your clips so they can be and adjust it. Then apply the mask and chroma key for final touchups. It’s just that simple to create this amazing cloning effect so why not give it a try today?

The cloning effect is available for corel VideoStudio X8?
I try to find new effects including the Boris fx but I can’t find new ones this is a normal behaviour?
Hello Mario,
Boris FX is a part of the Ultimate Collection, which is included with the Ultimate edition of VideoStudio but is a separate install. If you purchased the Ultimate edition of VideoStudio, your order page will include a second download link for the Ultimate Collection. Once that is downloaded and installed, you’ll have Boris FX and more!

where can I find Borris FX?
Oh. I see. Thank you.
Where did you find it sorry? I still can’t find it
Love the cloning tutorial for VideoStudio. Is is available in text form? That would be helpful in the step by steps when one is actually trying to apply the steps. A quick easy reference during editing especially.
Hello James,
We do not currently have a written tutorial to go along with the cloning effect tutorial, but thank you for the suggestion! We are always looking for ways to make our tutorials more accessible, and have passed your comment on to the VideoStudio tutorial team for their consideration.
All the best,

I agree with James request for a written tutorial on cloning. I find it easier to follow a step by step written tutorial. I like the idea of cloning but I get lost in the process.
Sorry to have bothered you Gripps.
I sussed it out for myself so thanks for the above video 🙂
Brilliant as always.
Regards from Roy.
