When I adjust the size of a photo using one of the stock split screen templates. The photo will grow or shrink as if I added a key frame to it. Is there a way to adjust the size of the photo and then maintain that size through the length of split screen.

I think you want to maintain the aspect ratio. This is a toggle in the effects module.

Is there no way for VideoStudio to sync the videos by audio analysis? Multicam editor will sync them all then merge them into a single shot… but what I want to do is have five videos on the screen, all synced to the same audio source. CyberLink PowerDirector does this with a single mouse click, but doesn’t have the option to create split screen templates, so I TRULY hope this is possible in VideoStudio.

Once you’ve built a template, how do you edit it later? I’m never done adjusting sizes, animation, etc.

I’m working on a project with my recently purchased VideoStudio Ultimate 2020 and I’m hitting a couple of snags.
First, I have a lot of small segments to assemble and I wonder if there is a better way to do it than assembling each set of clips and exporting as a VSP?

I’m also trying to use a split-screen template that I made…without much luck…and I’m wondering how to proceed.

    For example:
Do I need to completely build each of the multi-clip segments in advance?
Can I just ‘group’ the clips in the overlay track?
Can I enter the clips sequentially in each overlay track and then adjust, which would be the most convenient to ensure the timing is correct?

The ‘containers’ for each of the four segments in the split screen seem to be fugitive. I’m not sure why.

These instructions are for video studio 2020. Are there any instructions for video studio pro 2019? Because the dashboard on mine is quite different from the ones the video tutorials show.

      Hello Carl,

Once you are done editing your video, the next step is to export it! You can find instructions on how upload your video directly to social media, burn a DVD, and export a file for transfer or upload in our How to Export your Video tutorial.

      Hope this helps!

Ma perchè se creo uno schermo diviso andando in “progetto istantaneo”, una volta inseriti i clip mi aggiunge delle transizioni casuali? Come faccio ad eliminare quelle transizioni?

      Hello Roberto,

You can disable automatic transitions by opening the Edit tab, and then selecting Settings > Preferences > Edit, and clearing the checkbox next to “Automatically Add Transition Effect”.

To remove an automatically added transition, just clear your selection by clicking on a section of empty timeline, then select the transition, right click, and select “delete” from the right-click menu.

      Hope this helps!

And it adds a random transition when video is inserted even with it’s not marked in settings.

However, it works if you create your own template with Template Creator, like the last part of demo video shows. In this case, you must adjust duration, size and position of the videos inserted after, in the timeline.

I just can’t get the split screen to work right, each video bleeds over into the next area…
But i will not give up, I’m going to keep experimenting. I can’t get each video to only stay within it’s frame, when i adjust them, they still will bleed into next area.
