Instructions to create text mask just don’t work. I followed instructions but text just sits there doing absolutely nothing. Only a brush stroke mask seems to work. text wont save, wont mask does absolutely nothing. So far a total waste of time and money. Any ideas before I give up and ask for a refund? Its the one feature that persuaded me to upgrade and it a pity it wont work

      Hello Robin,

Which version of VideoStudio did you upgrade to? Text Masking is only available in VideoStudio 2019 Ultimate, and would not work in the standard edition.

Hi, I have the try version and I’m trying to create a mask, but there’s some similar patterns so I would like to zoom in to make sure it’s alright but I can’t find how, if it’s even possible.

Also, when I’m playing a clip, the video is blurry, pixelated and doesn’t play properly (stops for a beat sometimes), is it due to the tryout version?
Thank you for your time, Lili

      Hello Lili,

If you are encountering blurry video, pixelated video, or stuttering, that suggests you may be close to the minimum requirements for VideoStudio. Video Editors are fairly intensive programs for computers to run, but we do have a tool that can help! Our Smart Proxy tool lets you work with a separate, reduced-quality video to keep the editing process smooth, but when you render your out it uses the original, full-resolution files so there is no loss in final quality. You can enable Smart Proxy by navigating to Settings > Smart Proxy Manager > Enable Smart Proxy

The default proxy resolution is 720 x 480, but you can customize this from Settings > Smart Proxy Manager > Settings

      Hope this helps!

Hello, I got Corel Video Studio Ultimate 2018, I was trying to fix a green screen video with some bad shades by following the tutorial, but I don’t seem to have video the NewBlue Video Essentials FX; I don’t have as many filters as the tutorial shows it’s supposed to have.
Please advise me on how I can fix that. I got the software through internet, but just today I received the back up disc from the mail. Am I supposed to reload the software this time from the disc so I get more tools like the NewBlue Video Essentials FX?

I look forward to your support.

    Thank you,

      Hello Jesus,

In the downloadable installer verion of VideoStudio, the Ultimate Content Pack is installed from a separate download link, which you can find in the same email as VideoStudio itself.

If you have already installed the Ultimate Content Pack and you are still missing the NewBlue FX, our technical support team can definitely help get that sorted out!

      Best,
