Replacing a photo background just got easier, thanks to the AI Background Replacement feature introduced in PaintShop Pro 2022. When you launch the feature, the AI will automatically detect your photo’s subject and create a mask. If needed, you can alter the mask using the Refine brush. Once the subject is masked, you can choose from 20 background presets or add your own background image. You can also save the image with a transparent background and maintain your original background as a separate layer.

I thought instant background replacement was part of the 2023 print pro package.

This feature is found under the Adjust menu (Adjust > Artificial Intelligence > AI Background Replacement). If you are using the Photography or Sea-to-Sky workspace you will need to switch to the Essentials or Complete workspace to access the Adjust menu. You can change your workspace under the File menu (File > Workspace).
